What you'll see ⛰️ Summit🌄 Big views🏛️ Historic site

A relentless climb to the copper mine that built Kennecott, high above the glaciers.

Tips
Nearly 4,000 feet of climbing on loose mining road - a genuinely hard day. The ruined mine buildings at the top cling to the mountainside. The view over the Root and Kennicott glaciers to Mount Blackburn is the finest in the park.
