Last updated: June 17, 2026. By using qMEET, you agree to these Terms.

The Short Version

We want qMEET to be useful and welcoming, so we've kept the rules simple. The plain-English summary below is here for convenience — the numbered sections that follow are the actual Terms.

  • It's free, and it's offered "as is." We don't guarantee that anything on the site is accurate, always available, or permanent. Keep your own backups of anything you'd hate to lose.
  • The content is ours. You're welcome to use qMEET for your own personal needs, but please don't copy, scrape, or redistribute our content or data. Automated tools watch for this.
  • Be a good member. You're responsible for what you post. We don't pre-screen most user content yet, so please tell us about anything that doesn't belong and we'll deal with it quickly.
  • We're here to help — reach out any time through Contact Us. We can't make guarantees, but we genuinely try.

1. Agreement to These Terms

  • These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and qMEET ("qMEET," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your access to and use of the qMEET website, apps, and related services (together, the "Service").
  • By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Security & Privacy practices. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
  • qMEET is provided free of charge. We may add, change, or discontinue features — or the entire Service — at any time (see Changes below).
  • We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility & Your Account

  • Age. Because qMEET helps people connect, chat, and meet in person, you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority where you live) to create an account and use the Service.
  • Accurate information. When you register, please provide information that is truthful and reasonably current, and keep it up to date.
  • One person, one account. Your account is for you. Don't impersonate anyone, don't create accounts for others without their permission, and don't share, sell, or transfer your account.
  • Keep your credentials safe. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. Choose a strong password and don't share it.
  • Tell us about problems. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us right away through Contact Us.

3. Acceptable Use

To keep qMEET safe and usable for everyone, you agree not to:

  • Break the law, or use the Service to plan, encourage, or carry out anything illegal.
  • Harass, threaten, bully, defame, or invade the privacy of any person; or post hateful, violent, or sexually explicit content.
  • Post, share, or solicit any sexual content involving minors, or anything that exploits or endangers a minor — there is zero tolerance for this, and we report it to the authorities.
  • Send spam, chain messages, pyramid schemes, or unsolicited advertising to other members.
  • Impersonate another person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
  • Upload viruses, malware, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service; defeat or bypass authentication, rate limits, or access controls; or otherwise attempt to gain unauthorized access. (Found a real security issue? Please report it responsibly — see Security & Privacy.)
  • Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated means to access, harvest, or copy the Service or other members' data, except where we expressly permit it.
  • Collect or store other members' personal information beyond what the Service is designed to share with you, or use member contact details for purposes they didn't agree to.
  • Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or the servers and networks behind it.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except to the limited extent the law allows.

We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules — see Suspension & Termination below.

4. Your Content, and Content From Other Members

Content you provide

  • "Your Content" means anything you create or upload on qMEET — events and groups you organize, chat messages, profile details, interests, photos, files, and similar.
  • You keep ownership of Your Content. By posting it, you grant qMEET a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, host, copy, display, and transmit it only as needed to operate and provide the Service — for example, showing your event to the members you've invited, or delivering your chat message to its recipient. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept in routine backups or where another member already received it.
  • You're responsible for Your Content, and you confirm you have the right to post it and that it doesn't break these Terms or anyone else's rights.

Content from other members — please read

  • For the most part, we do not yet actively monitor, pre-screen, filter, block, or mask the content that members post. qMEET hosts events, groups, profiles, and chat from many people, and you may come across content that is inaccurate, offensive, inappropriate, or that you simply disagree with.
  • qMEET is not responsible for content created by members, and we don't endorse it. Any reliance you place on member-provided content is at your own risk.
  • Please report anything concerning. If you see content or behavior that worries you or breaks these Terms, tell us through Contact Us. We take reports seriously and will review and address them as quickly as we reasonably can.
  • We reserve the right (but take on no obligation) to review, remove, or restrict any content or account, at our discretion, with or without notice.

5. Intellectual Property & Copyright

Our content is protected

  • The Service — including its design, layout, text, graphics, logos, software and code, and the curated data, listings, recommendations, and other material we compile and provide — is owned by qMEET and/or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. This is copyrighted material.

What you may do

  • You may access and use the Service and its content for your own personal, non-commercial use while you comply with these Terms. That's exactly what qMEET is here for.

What you may not do

  • Except for your own personal use as described above, you may not copy, reproduce, download in bulk, scrape, harvest, mirror, republish, redistribute, sell, license, sublicense, or otherwise exploit any part of the Service's content or data — in whole or in part — without our prior written permission.
  • In particular, do not copy or extract our lists, listings, or compiled data for use outside the Service, and do not redistribute them to others.

Automated enforcement — please take this seriously

  • We run automated agents on a frequent, ongoing schedule that monitor for unauthorized copying, scraping, and redistribution of our content and data. Copyright violations are detected quickly.
  • We will pursue infringement and unauthorized use to the fullest extent permitted by law — which may include removing your access, demanding that you stop and destroy infringing copies, claiming damages and costs, and referring the matter for civil or criminal prosecution.

Your rights, and feedback

  • This section is about our content. It doesn't take away your ownership of Your Content (see above).
  • If you believe something on qMEET infringes your copyright, let us know through Contact Us with enough detail to identify the work and where it appears, and we'll look into it.
  • If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you allow us to use them to improve the Service without any obligation to you.

6. No Warranties — the Service Is Provided "As Is"

  • qMEET is a free service, provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of anything on the Service. Events, groups, member profiles, interests, and other information are supplied by members or compiled automatically, and may be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong. Treat them as general information, not as verified fact or professional advice.
  • We don't promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or available at any particular time, or that problems will be fixed.
  • We don't guarantee that your data won't be lost. Outages, bugs, maintenance, or account issues can cause data to be unavailable or deleted.
  • Please back up anything important. Keep your own copy or export of any content, contacts, or details that matter to you, so a problem on our side never leaves you stranded.

7. Meeting People & Personal Safety

  • qMEET helps you find events, groups, and people, but we do not vet, verify, or do background checks on members, organizers, events, or venues.
  • You are responsible for your own decisions about whom you communicate with and whether to attend any event or meet anyone in person. Use common sense: meet in public, tell someone where you're going, and trust your instincts.
  • Interactions with other members — online or in person — are between you and them. qMEET isn't a party to those interactions and isn't responsible for the conduct of any member.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, qMEET and the people who operate it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, any member content, or your reliance on anything provided through the Service.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Where liability can't be fully excluded, it is limited to the smallest amount the law permits.
  • Because qMEET is provided to you free of charge, to the extent a limit is required, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us for it — which is zero.

9. Support & Help

  • If something goes wrong, please reach out through Contact Us. We care about the Service and the people who use it, and we'll do our best to help — often urgently.
  • That said, qMEET is free and run with limited resources, so we can't make guarantees about response times, fixes, uptime, or recovering lost data. Please treat support as best-effort, and keep your own backups (see above).

10. Privacy

  • Your privacy matters to us. Our Security & Privacy page explains how we protect your account and data and what we do (and don't) collect. By using the Service you also acknowledge those practices.

11. Third-Party Services & Links

  • The Service may link to, or rely on, third-party services and content — for example maps, calendars, push-notification delivery, donation processing, and AI features. We don't control those third parties and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices.
  • Your use of a third-party service is governed by that party's own terms and privacy policy.

12. Suspension & Termination

  • You can stop using qMEET at any time, and you can ask us to close your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access — with or without notice — if you break these Terms, if we're required to by law, or if we reasonably need to in order to protect the Service or other members.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and these general terms — continue to apply after your use ends.

13. Changes to the Service & These Terms

  • qMEET is actively developed. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may start, pause, or stop offering the Service at any time.
  • We may revise these Terms as the Service evolves or the law requires. We'll update the "Last updated" date, and for significant changes we'll try to give a clearer heads-up where practical. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

14. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Security & Privacy page, are the entire agreement between you and qMEET about the Service, and replace any earlier understandings on the subject.
  • Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • No waiver. If we don't enforce a provision right away, that isn't a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours in connection with a change in how the Service is operated.
  • Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which the operator of qMEET resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there for any dispute that isn't resolved informally first.
  • Questions? Reach us any time through Contact Us.
