What you'll see 🌄 Big views

A wheelchair-accessible mile boardwalk leads through a break in the Badlands Wall known as "the Door" to a panoramic view of the Badlands. From there, the maintained trail ends and continues onto Badlands bedrock, with yellow posts marking the primitive portion of the trail. Travel beyond this point is at your own risk.

Tips
The boardwalk section is wheelchair accessible. Past its end the route is marked only by numbered yellow posts across bare clay - count them on the way out so you can find your way back.
