Tucked behind the Logan Pass Visitor Center, this trail offers access to two popular park locations: Hidden Lake and the Hidden Lake Overlook. Hikers on this trail enjoy spectacular views of alpine plants and wildlife in the cradle of Clements and Reynolds Mountains. The trail features several sets of stairs and switchbacks. Many visitors conclude their hike at the Hidden Lake Overlook, which provides an excellent view of Hidden Lake and the surrounding environment. Continuing on the trail will lead you to Hidden Lake itself. Hidden Lake Overlook Distance: 1.3 miles (2.1 km), one way Elevation gain: 608 ft (185 m) Elevation loss: 128 ft (39 m) Trail surface: wooden boardwalk and packed soil Trailhead: Hidden Lake Trailhead Hidden Lake Distance: 2.5 miles (4 km), one way Elevation gain: 639 ft (195 m) Elevation loss: 921 ft (281 m) Trailhead: Hidden Lake Trailhead While in Glacier National Park, please maintain extra awareness around water, steep dropoffs, and wildlife. You are responsible for your own safety.

Tips
The most walked trail in the park and the most reliable mountain goat viewing anywhere. Snow covers the boardwalk into July. Logan Pass car park fills before 7am - use the shuttle. Continuing down to the lake shore adds 2.7 miles and 780 feet of climbing back out.
