What you'll see 🦌 Wildlife🏛️ Historic site

The Piedmont Forest Trail is a .2-mile loop that is wheelchair accessible with parking nearby. Follow the green blazes to immerse yourself in the mixed hardwood forest that once covered these rolling hills from New York to Alabama. Agricultural practices and development have destroyed most of these eastern woodlands. This national park protects the largest expanse of Piedmont Forest in the National Park System. Watch your step for tree stumps and slippery rocks. Check yourself periodically for ticks. Keep your pets on a leash and do not feed wildlife. Do not disturb or remove any plants, animals, or historic features.
