The Bay Trail is a 0.15 mile trail beginning at the north side of Fort Pickens Campground Loop E. Visitors may park at overflow parking located directly in front of the trailhead, or walk from their campsite. The Florida National Scenic Trail can be found a few feet to the right. A gently inclined, sandy slope will bring visitors up over the dunes, past coastal vegetation, and down to the Pensacola Bay. A variety of birds can frequently be seen flying overhead, including bald eagles, ospreys, great blue herons, and more. Duration: 15-30 minutes
