What you'll see 🌊 River or creek🏛️ Historic site

A steep 750-foot descent from the rim, then three miles up a sandy wash past three smaller panels to the Great Gallery: life-sized Barrier Canyon style figures painted somewhere between 2,000 and 4,000 years ago on a sheer sandstone wall.

Tips
Reached by 32 miles of dirt road off Highway 24 - check conditions, it is impassable when wet. Carry all your water. Never touch the panel; skin oils destroy the pigment permanently.
