What you'll see 🌊 River or creek🦌 Wildlife🌲 Old growth🚲 Bikes🎒 Backpacking

No longer accessible to vehicles, the first part of this trail is a former road that begins a trek into the wilderness of the Olympic Mountains. If you plan to make this the start of an overnight backpacking trip, check in with the Wilderness Information Center .

Tips
The road washed out in 2002 and has never been rebuilt, so the old ranger station is now five and a half miles from the nearest car. Bikes are allowed on the road section.
