What you'll see 🌄 Big views🦌 Wildlife🏛️ Historic site🎒 Backpacking

Boardwalk through forest and bog to Cape Alava, the westernmost point in the contiguous United States, then south along the beach past the Wedding Rocks petroglyphs to Sand Point, and back inland on a second boardwalk.

Tips
Two headlands on the beach section must be passed at low tide - carry a tide table. The boardwalk is lethally slick when wet; many people wear microspikes. Overnight permits are quota-limited and book out.
