The Rocky Point Trail follows along the western shore of Lake McDonald, within the burn scar of the Roberts Fire (2003). It offers beach access and excellent views of Lake McDonald. The trail is lollipop-shaped. Rocky Point Distance: 0.7 mile (1.1 km), loop Elevation gain: 224 ft (68 m) Elevation loss: 179 ft (55 m) Trailhead: Near Fish Creek Campground (on the Inside North Fork Road), on the shore of Lake McDonald While in Glacier National Park, please maintain extra awareness around water, steep dropoffs, and wildlife. You are responsible for your own safety.

Tips
The 2018 Howe Ridge Fire burned through here, which opened the views considerably. Good at sunset.
