What you'll see ⛰️ Summit🌄 Big views🏞️ Lake🌼 Wildflowers🦌 Wildlife🎒 Backpacking

From Sol Duc Falls the trail climbs past Deer Lake to the High Divide, a ridge that runs for miles with the Bailey Range and the glaciers of Mount Olympus filling the horizon, and the Seven Lakes Basin dropping away on the other side.

Tips
Wilderness permits are quota-limited and released by lottery - book months ahead. Snowfields on the divide persist into August and an ice axe is sometimes needed. Bear canisters are required. Black bears in the basin are numerous and habituated.
