What you'll see 🌄 Big views🦌 Wildlife🌲 Old growth

Bartlett Cove was under the Grand Pacific Glacier as recently as 1750. The spruce and hemlock forest here has grown entirely since the ice retreated, which makes it one of the clearest demonstrations of ecological succession anywhere.

Tips
Largely boardwalk and easy. The skeleton of Snow, a humpback whale killed by a ship strike in 2001, is displayed near the trailhead and is worth the stop on its own.
