What you'll see 🌄 Big views🏛️ Historic site

A monthly ranger-led walk to the source of all the sand - a lake bed of selenite crystals.

Tips
Runs only a few times a month, needs a ticket booked in advance, and is on missile range land so it is cancelled whenever the range closes. The selenite crystals here weather down into the gypsum grains that make the whole dune field.
