What you'll see 🌄 Big views

Down the Navajo Loop switchbacks from Sunset Point - through Wall Street if it is open - along the amphitheatre floor among the hoodoos, then back up the gentler Queens Garden switchbacks to Sunrise Point. Walking it in that direction puts the steep descent first and the easier climb last.

Tips
Always go down at Sunset Point and up at Sunrise Point, never the reverse. Wall Street closes whenever freeze-thaw makes rockfall likely, usually November to April. Add half a mile back along the Rim Trail to return to your car.
