What you'll see 🌊 River or creek🏛️ Historic site

The most complete abandoned coal town in the gorge, with its conveyor and coke ovens standing.

Tips
Henry Ford leased this mine in the 1920s. The 1,385-foot conveyor down the gorge wall is the largest surviving structure of its kind. The access road is narrow, steep gravel and unsuitable for trailers.
