Located on the hills above the Wild and Scenic Snake River, the Pittsburg Rockart Interpretive Site explains the petroglyphs (carvings on stone) and pictographs (paintings on stone) and scratchings left by Native Americans in Hells Canyon. The site has many examples of this rock art work along a short kid friendly trail. Located nearby are Pittsburg Campground and Pittsburg Landing Boat Launch .
