Tips

  • ➕ Join Group (in the Membership panel) makes you a member — if the group requires approval your status shows as pending until the organizer says yes, and Group Chat stays hidden until you're approved.
  • 💬 Group Chat is members-only — expand it to introduce yourself and help the organizer plan events & meetups.
  • 🔗 Share and Copy Link are in the actions panel — on the right on a computer, near the top on a phone. 🔒 Private groups are members-only.
  • 📎 Check About This Group for any Group Files the organizer shared.
  • 🛠 Organizing? Your planning tools — the anonymous availability & interest charts, the member roster, and Edit Group — are grouped lower down.

🌟 This Group Needs an Organizer

This is one of qMEET's default groups, created around a popular interest. No one is running it yet — it's here waiting for someone like you to get it started.

What a Group Organizer Does
  • ✎ Edit the Group — update its name, description, location, and settings (the Edit Group card).
  • 👥 Manage Members — approve join requests, add or remove people, and share or hand off the organizer role (Edit Group Members).
  • 🏷 Curate Tags — pick the interests that describe the group so the right people find it (Edit Group Tags).
  • 📅 Create Events & Meetups for the group and rally members around them.

You'll join as a member and become the organizer right away. It's first-come — once someone takes the reins, this offer goes away (they can add co-organizers from Edit Group Members).

  • 📆 Member Availability — see the days and times members say they're usually free, so you know when to schedule.
  • 🎯 Member Interests & Cities — see what everyone's into and where they live, so you know where to hold it and what activities to include.

  • 💬 Group Chat — welcome newcomers and let everyone discuss proposed days, times, activities, weather, or any other topic.

  • 📋 Surveys — ask members directly for event suggestions, preferred days and times, activities, and more.
