🔑 Joining, and What Can Block It
At a Glance spells out the rules before you commit: whether approval is
needed, and how many spots are left.
If the group screens members, your join lands pending — and
💬 Group Chat stays hidden until an organizer approves you.
Some groups are guys only or girls only; you're turned away
only if your profile gender is the opposite (no gender set still gets in). A
full group refuses new members — unless it screens them, in which case your
request queues up anyway and the organizer picks.
📈 The Member Charts Are Anonymous
📊 Member Availability and 🧩 Member Interests & Cities build
themselves from members' own profiles — there's no poll to send around.
Every figure is a count. No member is ever named.
Any signed-in viewer sees them, not just organizers. Handy for picking a
day, an activity, and a place that most people can make.
🗳️ Voting On Activities
Every tag an organizer put on the group becomes a question in
🗳️ Vote on Proposed Activities — answer YEAH!, Sure!,
Maybe, Naw or Another Time.
Answer as many as you like, then press ✓ Save Votes — nothing is
recorded until you do, so you can change your mind first. Tick
Add Interest to Profile beside one and, when you save, it also joins
your own interests, which is what matches you to other groups and events.
📊 Activity Voting Results stays closed to you until you've
voted on at least one activity; organizers and admins always see it. A group with
no tags shows neither card.
🌟 Groups Without an Organizer
Some groups were seeded from a popular interest and nobody runs them yet. Those show a
🌟 This Group Needs an Organizer card.
Take it and you join as a member and become the organizer immediately — with
✎ Edit Group, member approvals, and group tags.
It's first come. Once someone accepts, the offer disappears for
everyone else.
💡 Tips
- Group Files — handouts, flyers, maps — hide inside the
ℹ️ About This Group card, and only appear once an organizer posts one.
- Sharing a link to a private group won't let someone in — they still have
to be a member.
- × Leave Group is in the Actions card, not the membership one. You
can re-join later.
- Reports go to admins; the organizer is never told who reported.
