🤝 Get-Togethers for This Listing

No meetups yet for this event.

Nobody has organized an actual get-together around this one so far. This page is the listing — it may run across a range of dates, and there's no organizer and no set plan behind it.

Someone needs to create a real meetup with a date, time and placeand that could be you. It takes about a minute, and everyone who marked themselves interested in this event can find it once you publish.

Want to Start Your Own Get-Together for this Listing?

This is a listing — the concert, festival or activity itself, and nobody is running it on qMEET. A get-together is your own smaller plan to go to it with other people: your date, your time, your meeting spot. “A few of us are going, come with us.”

You don’t need permission and you don’t take anything over — this listing isn’t changed at all. The venue, address and details are copied across, so you only pick when and where to meet.

As its organizer you get real tools to plan the when, where & what:

  • 📅 Member Availability — see which days and times everyone says they're usually free, so you know when to hold it.
  • 🎯 Member Interests & Cities — see everyone's interests and locations, so you know where to meet and what to include.
  • 🗺 Member Map — visually shows where most members are concentrated.
  • 🏷️ Activities & Voting — lists the tags and lets members vote on what they want to do.
  • 💬 Event Chat — everyone can discuss plans, who's bringing what, and last-minute changes.
  • RSVPs — who's coming, how likely, guest counts, and what they're looking forward to.
  • 🔗 Many Ways to Share or Invite — get the word out and grow attendance.

Your get-together starts hidden and set to “Only My Contacts”, with no date, so nothing is announced until you're ready. Nobody is notified when you create it. Once you set a date and switch Go Live? to Yes, it appears for people who marked themselves interested in this listing.

ℹ️ About This Event

Join Michigan Tech's Health Research Institute and Materials Characterization Fabrication Core Facility on September 30 for AFM Connect 2026: Upper Midwest Symposium on Atomic Force Microscopy, a one-day conference bringing together principal investigators and researchers using Atomic Force Microscopy across different scientific and engineering disciplines.

AFM Connect 2026 provides researchers with an opportunity to share how AFM is used in their laboratories, highlight current research and technical capabilities, and explore opportunities for inter-laboratory collaboration. The program will include invited research presentations, student and postdoctoral presentations, poster sessions, networking opportunities, and discussions on shared expertise, instrumentation, and future collaborations.

We are delighted to invite you to attend the symposium and submit an abstract for an oral or poster presentation describing your laboratory’s AFM research, applications, techniques, or capabilities. You are also encouraged to share this invitation with students, postdoctoral researchers, and other members of your research group who may be interested in participating.
