🙋 Interested? RSVP! — What Saves and What It Does
Interested? and Are You Going? save the instant you pick them. The guest count
and the note fields do not — those need ✓ Save RSVP.
Saying you're going also joins you to the event. If the organizer requires approval,
you stay pending until they approve you.
Your notes and your Can't Make It? reasons go to the organizer only,
never to other members. Reminders arrive by push and email before the start — nothing to set
up here; both channels and Quiet Hours live on
Notifications.
🔍 When the Details Change
Editing an event notifies nobody. A new time, a different meeting spot, a rain plan —
the organizer posts it in 💬 Event Chat. Check it as the date gets close.
Most 📋 Listings here are run entirely outside qMEET. The line under When and
Where names the site they come from, and ℹ️ About This Event carries a
Where to sign up link —
confirm the date, time and place there, and sign up there too. Saying you're going on this
page tells other members; it does not get you a ticket. A Hosted on qMEET tag
marks the rare one that a member runs here.
A 📷 Event Files card appears only when the organizer attached something —
a flyer, map, menu, or waiver. Easy to miss.
📍 Checking In on the Day
The 📍 Event Check-in card shows up only for attendees, and only from 30 minutes
before the start until the event ends. Don't go looking for it earlier.
📍 Check-in marks you Arrived and drops your pin on the live map so everyone
can find each other. Once you're in, it becomes 📍 Update Check-in & Location —
tap it again any time to re-take your location or change your note.
Its three checkboxes — Update My Main Status, Update My Main
Check-in (the site-wide ones you also see on Dashboard)
and Show My Exact Location on the Map — all start checked, and
whatever you set is remembered for next time, so uncheck one once and it stays
unchecked. 🚫 Clear My Location pulls your pin later without leaving the event.
🧭 If It's Your Event
Three anonymous charts plan it for you, built from your attendees' own profiles — no
poll to send. 📊 Member Availability gives you the day & time most of them are
free; 🧩 Member Interests and 📍 Member Cities give you the what and the where.
They fill in as more people RSVP.
📋 RSVP Details gathers every member's written answers grouped by question — who's
bringing what, allergies, requests. Organizers only.
Your badge row carries a member views count nobody else sees.
🤝 Start a Get-Together
On a listing, the Start a Get-Together button sits beside the line under When
and Where; on a get-together it is under More in Actions. It makes your own
plan from this page and leaves this page alone.
- The new one is named after this one — rename it to anything you like.
- The venue, address, description, category and tags come along.
- The date and time do not — you pick them.
- You become its organizer, and land on its edit page.
- It starts hidden, set to Only My Contacts. Nobody is notified.
- Attendees, chat, photos, votes, RSVP answers and the organizer-only notes do not come across.
- It copies what is saved right now, so save any edits first.
Under More Options in the pop-up: choose whether the new one is a
Get-Together or a Listing, and keep Link this to the event I'm copying
checked to attach it to this listing — “a few of us are going” — or uncheck it for a
standalone one you just want to run yourself.
💡 Tips
- The page has three tabs under the event name: About (the facts, your RSVP, the
details), Chat, and People (members, votes, who has arrived). A tab with
nothing in it for you isn't shown.
- 🗳️ Voting is on 🤝 Get-Togethers only — a plain 📋 Listing has no ballot. On a get-together you can't
see everyone's voting results until you've cast a vote yourself.
- Set Are You Going? to Arrived/Attended on the day — that's what lists you
under Who Has Arrived, which becomes Who Went once the event is over.
Tapping 📍 Check-in sets it for you.
- The Actions box holds 🔗 Share / Invite and
📅 Add to Calendar; 📋 Copy Link and 🖨 Print are under More.
- Even a Maybe beats silence — organizers size the day, place, and food around who
replies.
