RTC Research Forum returns on Friday, September 25th! Join us for a public talk from Trish Grosse Brewer, assistant teaching professor of philosophy, titled "Life Before Death: Reframing Reproductive Ethics in the Bioethics Classroom".

"Although pregnancy is a medical condition that touches every human life at some time or other, in the bioethics classroom it is treated primarily, if at all, as a necessary condition for debates about abortion, assisted reproduction, and genetic testing. Let's not do that. This [presentation] offers a pedagogical model that puts pregnancy (and pregnancy loss) at the front of the line, making it the starting point and ethical grounding for rather than absent referent of reproductive ethics."
