About This Event

Join the Center for Teaching and Learning (Technical Workshops) for the following opportunity: https://mtu.libcal.com/event/17385171

Plan to join the CFE for an introductory workshop focused on Gemini Notebook, a campus-provided generative AI tool that allows instructors to work with selected course materials in a focused, source-grounded environment.

In this hands-on session, participants will create a notebook, add a small set of course materials, and explore ways Gemini Notebook can support teaching preparation and the development of instructor-reviewed learning supports such as study guides, FAQs, review questions, and summaries. We will also practice reviewing Gemini Notebook responses by checking them against the original course materials and discussing what types of course content are appropriate to use in this environment.

This session is designed for instructors who are new to Gemini Notebook or who have only experimented with it briefly. Participants are encouraged to bring a few non-sensitive course materials, such as a syllabus, assignment description, rubric, short reading, or slide deck, to use during the session.

For accommodation requests, please notate them on registration form or contact Jess at jelhendr@mtu.edu or (906) 487-2275.
