Session 1 Group Swim Preschool Aquatics

Come make a splash in Huskies Group Swim Lessons! American Red Cross Preschool Aquatics levels are being offered at the SDC Pool for ages 4 to 5 years old.

Preschool Aquatics
Ages: 4-5 years
A parent is required to be in the water with each participant.
Description: Preschool Aquatics is designed to orient young preschoolers to the aquatic environment and to help them gain basic aquatic skills. In addition, participants start learning about how to be safe around water.
Learning Objectives:
? Techniques for entering and exiting the water
? Blow bubbles through mouth and nose
? Bobbing
? Retrieve submerged objects
? Front and back glides and floats
? Body control and manipulation in the water
? Tread water using arm and hand actions
? Alternating and simultaneous leg and arm actions on front and back
? Treading water
? Learn water safety skills
No previous swimming lesson skills or history needed to participate in this level.

Space will be provided for personal items on the pool deck. Goggles are highly recommended. Showering is required before entering the water. Class size is limited.
