Labor Day Wknd Meet 2026

As is long-standing tradition, the first two meets of the school year will be held over Labor Day Weekend and K-Day weekend. For new faces reading this announcement, an AEMT meet is a great way to meet like-minded car people and explore some of the beautiful Keweenaw Peninsula courtesy of a cruise.

If your vehicle has wheels and plates, come show it off! Lifted trucks, slammed coupes, bikes, or mom’s old Honda Odyssey- All vehicles are welcome at all AEMT events. No car up at Tech? That’s okay too! AEMT encourages all students to participate and have fun.

After each of these meets will be a cruise up to Copper Harbor, using a hand-selected route that maximizes views and driving experience. For those with tight-handling cars there will be an up-tempo group, and a second group behind driving at a relaxed pace. We respectfully request that no burnouts, donuts, revving, double-line-passing, etc. are performed at AEMT events as we are representing Michigan Tech on the roads. Copper Harbor cruises are always a blast. If you cannot drive the cruise route, many drivers will have open passenger seats!
