  Indivisibles are hosting a “No Kings” event on Saturday\, October 17\
 , 12 – 2 p.m.\, in front of the newly-opened Headquarters on Blue Star H
 ighway in Douglas. The goal of this nationwide “No Kings: Voting Early I
 s How We Use Our Power” event is to create community awareness about the
  importance of voting in this election and voting early. Messaging on even
 t banners and signs will include such statements as “Protect Your Vote\,
 ” “Vote Early” and “Vote in Person.” We need a record voter turn
 out in this election to flip the House and the Senate. Please join us on B
 lue Star next month. This is the fourth official No Kings protest event or
 ganized by people-powered movements including Indivisible National. **We d
 ecide who represents us. We decide what comes next.** For more than a year
 \, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power bel
 ongs to kings\, billionaires\, or politicians who believe they are above t
 he people and the law. Now\, we are taking the next step\, turning people 
 power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions\, No Kings: Vote 
 Early\, is not purely a protest. Instead\, on October 17th\, it's a day of
  nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing **our community** togeth
 er to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understa
 nds their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their vo
 ice heard. Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters 
 do. On October 17th\, join us in local events across the country as we get
  out the early vote and say it loud: no thrones\, no crowns\, no kings. *N
 o Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase pa
 rticipation from all eligible voters.* *A core principle behind all No Kin
 gs events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants
  to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagre
 e with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind
 \, including those legally permitted\, should not be brought to events.*
