 o Kings event on October 17! Unlike the mass rallies of past No Kings even
 ts\, this will be a community-focused gathering centered on the importance
  of early voting. Many Michiganders don’t realize that early in-person v
 oting begins on October 24\, and even fewer know where to cast their ballo
 t since early voting locations often differ from their regular polling pla
 ce. Per CCOPA style\, we will provide a joyful\, engaging atmosphere—com
 plete with music\, inspiring speakers\, food\, community art\, great signs
 \, and activities for kids. In addition\, you will have the opportunity to
  leave with a pack of informational cards containing essential instruction
 s for voting early\, which you can then distribute to your neighbors. THIS
  is how we turn NO KINGS October 17 into an event with mass impact. THIS i
 s how we can further empower our neighborhoods and communities to vote - a
 nd vote early - in the upcoming midterms. This is how we create real chang
 e. See you there! From NO KINGS: **We decide who represents us. We decide 
 what comes next.** For more than a year\, millions of people have come tog
 ether to reject the idea that power belongs to kings\, billionaires\, or p
 oliticians who believe they are above the people and the law. Now\, we are
  taking the next step\, turning people power into voter power. Unlike prev
 ious No Kings actions\, No Kings: Vote Early\, is not purely a protest. In
 stead\, on October 17th\, it's a day of nonpartisan voter participation: w
 e are bringing our community together to make a plan to vote early and ens
 uring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and h
 as the opportunity to make their voice heard. Because no one person gets t
 o decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th\, join us in local 
 events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no
  thrones\, no crowns\, no kings. *No Kings: Vote Early events are nonparti
 san and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.* 
 *A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent
  action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential c
 onfrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully a
 t these events. Weapons of any kind\, including those legally permitted\, 
 should not be brought to events.*
